A handcrafted modern viola starts with years of detailed study of the violas of Antonius Stradivarius. Every handmade viola that we offer has been meticulously cut from aged, high altitude Spruce for the top, and rare, high altitude Maple for the back, sides, and neck. The fingerboard is cut from premium quality black ebony. We make sure that the pegs, chin rest, and tailpiece match the beauty of the viola with fine quality fittings. These are instruments that truly spark joy when you hold them and play them.
