If you can pick up and return your rental instrument at our shop in St. Paul, MN- You can rent a great instrument from us! Sorry, we don't ship rentals.
*NEW*- Soloist Grade Violins and Cellos- Full and 7/8 sizes. Rent a great instrument for far less than buying one. Great for very advanced (and advancing!) players and for auditions, recitals, and special occasions!
Inventory and availability can change weekly, so be sure to call ahead!
Visiting the St. Paul/ Minneapolis area and need a short term rental? Reserve your instrument well in advance. Minimum rental charge is one month.
Rental charges are non-refundable.

RENTAL CREDIT
During the first 18 months of your rental, ALL of your Rental Fee accumulates as Rental Credit. Your Rental Credit may be applied towards the purchase of any new, handmade instrument from our Atelier Cremone, D. Albert, F. Costa models, or vintage instrument collection. Rental Credit, (less Service Plan charges), accrues for 18 months. You may continue to rent longer than 18 months, but no more Rental Credit will accrue. The Rental Credit will be subtracted from the price of the new instrument. Rental Credit has no cash value.
PROFESSIONAL AND SOLOIST GRADE INSTRUMENTS CAN BE PURCHASED THROUGH OUR 'RENT-TO-OWN' PROGRAM. STANDARD AND UPGRADED RENTAL INSTRUMENTS ARE NOT FOR SALE.
RENTAL CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. The rental credit is not transferable and has no cash value. Visit our instrument pages to see instruments your Rental Credit can be applied towards.
SERVICE PLAN
Our Service Plan covers the cost of repairs or replacement for ANY and ALL accidental or usage damage done to the instrument, case, or bow while it is in your possession. It also provides free replacement of broken or damaged strings, as well as one free bow rehair (every 18 months or longer) or replacement as needed. The Service Plan is included in the total monthly cost of your rental outfit. The Service Plan DOES NOT cover complete loss. The Service Plan is not optional.
HIGHER QUALITY RENTALS Our higher quality rentals are perfect for the advanced player on a budget. You can play on an instrument and bow that will take you to advanced levels for far less than you would pay outright for an equivalent instrument. All the while accruing rental credit you can use towards buying your dream instrument.
PROFESSIONAL & SOLOIST GRADE RENTALS Professional & Soloist grade rentals are great for musicians traveling to the Twin Cities area who don't want to risk flying with their own instrument, but need an instrument suitable for local performances. Also great for very advanced students that need a great instrument for far less than a purchase price.

PAYMENT DETAILS
TWO CREDIT CARDS in the renter's name are required in order to complete your rental agreement: (1) A major credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover) in the name of the person signing the agreement; and (2) another major credit card and/OR a debit card. Please make sure to have both cards physically with you when you come to pick up your rental.
Rental payments are processed automatically on the 15th of each month, and your receipt will be emailed to you.
TO DISCONTINUE RENTING
(1) Contact us before the 14th day of the month to arrange a time to drop-off your instrument; (2) read our webpage on returning a rental instrument and follow the instructions to clean the instrument, case, and bow; and (3) return the instrument before the 14th of the month and you will not be charged for the next rental period. (4) Please return the complete outfit - instrument, case, bow, rosin, and shoulder rest (if applicable). You will be charged for any missing equipment. (5)Please note that rental charges are not refundable for late returns.
